Set the Screen Recording permission on macOS 13+ (Ventura and later)
Some LockDown Browser exams require that the screen be recorded. If you are using a Mac, LockDown Browser must be granted the “Screen Recording” permission. These directions are for macOS version 13 (Ventura) and later.
1) From the Apple menu in the corner of your screen, choose System Settings, and navigate to the “Privacy & Security” section. Select “Screen Recording,” or (if using macOS 15, as shown below) “Screen & System Audio Recording.” You may need to scroll down to find this setting.
2) If LockDown Browser does not appear in the applications list, select the “+” icon to add it. (You may need to enter your admin password to unlock the list.) Navigate to the Applications folder and select “LockDown Browser.”
3) Once LockDown Browser appears in the Screen Recording (or Screen Recording & System Audio) list at the top of the window, turn on the permission using the toggle.
