macOS 10.15 (Catalina) Screen Recording Permission (Manual)

Reset the Screen Recording permission on macOS 10.15 (Catalina)

Some LockDown Browser exams require that the screen be recorded. If you are using a Mac, LockDown Browser must be granted the “Screen Recording” permission. These directions describe how to manually set this permission on mac OS 10.15 (Catalina).

1) From the Apple menu in the corner of your screen, choose System Preferences, and navigate to the “Privacy & Security” section. Select “Screen Recording.” You may need to scroll down to find Screen Recording.

2) Turn on the permission using the checkbox next to LockDown Browser. (You may need to click the lock icon and/or enter your admin password to unlock the list.)

That’s it!

LockDown Browser will now have permission to record your screen. You may proceed to your exam.
